Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Weekday Mass.

From Oct 2018 on, a notice will only be placed here when the Mass and/or Adoration will NOT take place at the times or on the days mentioned on the Home page.  There will be no Mass on Thursday 8th November 2018.


Special Events Commemorating the Centenary of the End of WWI.

3rd - 19th November, all day, Tintagel, Trevalga, Forrabury, St Juliot and Otterham Anglican Churches: installations of silhouettes representing men who left these communities to fight in WWI but did not return.
6th November, 10:00 - 16:00, Tintagel Old School: Exhibition detailing the 33 men who died in WWI and are remembered on the village War Memorial.
9th November, 10:00 - 16:00, Forrabury Church: Exhibition detailing the men who died in WWI and are remembered on the War Memorials in Forrabury, Otterham and St. Juliot churches.
10th November, 7:00 pm, St. Materiana Vigil Service, an ecumenical service to mark the centenary of the end of WWI.

8th November, 12:00 noon, Plymouth Cathedral.

You are welcome to join Bishop Mark, priests and deacons from all over the Diocese for the Annual Clergy Requiem for the deceased members of clergy who ministered and served their parishes for many years.


Remembrance Day Service, 11th November - Churches Together in Tintagel.

The Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Methodist Church, Tintagel, starting at 10:50 am.   The wreath-laying ceremony will be held afterwards at the Cenotaph at St. Materiana. There will also be a outdoor service starting at about 10:50 am at Trevena Square.


Events at Plymouth Cathedral to Mark the Centenary of the End of the First World War.

At 6:00 am on the 11th November a lone piper will play ‘Battle’s O’er.'  There is a Mass for the Faithful Departed at 10.00am, then at 19:05 the Cathedral joins over a thousand other churches across the country to ring the bells as part of ‘Ringing Out for Peace.’

There will be a new Garden of Remembrance in the Chapel of St. George, and throughout November Poppy Crosses will be available for £2 each, on which you can write the name of the soul you wish to be prayed for, and place it in the Garden.


“Global Healing - How our Faith can help us care for our Common Home”

This is a film-based event for parishes, groups and individuals. November 16th -18th (Fri-Sun) A ‘Taster’ W/E Retreat at Southgate, Buckfast (for anyone who would like to try a retreat for the first time!)

This is going to be launched in May 2019 and so a consultation event is to be held on the 1st December 2018 from 10:30 to 15:30 at St. Boniface College, Plymouth, with a limit of 3 participants from each parish.  Please contact Fr.
