Natural Family Planning South West  - helping to build a 'civilisation of love' - New Teacher Recruitment

'...at the heart of civilisation is the family centred in marriage between a man and a woman that remains open to the gift of new life in children." (JP11 Letter to Families 1994) We are volunteers trained to teach the Billings Ovulation Method [BOM] of fertility regulation to Catholic and engaged couples.  The BOM is a scientifically proven method, fully compatible with Church teaching on marriage and family life. We teach across the diocese including marriage preparation in conjunction with the Smart Loving programme.   We are looking to train women who have some experience or basic knowledge of NFP, or of using NFP, or who would be willing to learn and use this method themselves. There is an initial full day training session (a Saturday) after which training will be via 10 correspondence modules, over 10 consecutive months. There is a discretionary cost of £250 covering all teaching resources and teaching, BUT do not let money put you off! This can be waived on appeal. For more information: Christine Hudson – 07742320717

The Catholic Children’s Society (Plymouth) NEEDS YOU!

We are looking for enthusiastic people to fill vacancies on our Board of Trustee Directors so that we can continue to provide support and guidance to families across the Diocese.  The Board meets at least four times a year, and we like all our Directors to take an active role in the Society. The position is voluntary, but reasonable travelling or other expenses can be paid.
To find about more about this role, please either see the notice at the back of church or contact Heather Rothwell on 01364 645420 for an informal chat and an information pack.
